TUFR2 Gravel / MTB / Off-Road Overshoes

The Spatz TUFR2 Off-Road Overshoes have been re-imagined and re-engineered for 2025. We have added a vulcanised sole and increased the flexibility of the neoprene throughout. A zipper had been added at the rear of the overshoe meaning (in contrast to other Spatz models) these can be pulled on once your gravel shoes are fitted.

We had one goal. To design the best off-road overshoe on the planet. Spatz went back to the drawing board and developed an overshoe that creates it's own niche.

Regardless of whether your poison is Gravel, MTB, Road or anything in between the TUFR2 will be your weapon of choice in cold/wet conditions. Engineered with a rugged, grippy toe box and kevlar protection the TUFR2 is the ultimate off-road overshoe. The foot area is engineered from extremely resilient nylon-covered neoprene and the leg section is tough lycra covered neoprene to offer warmth, protection and eliminate cuts and nicks. Double silicone aqua seals around the bottom of the boot keep moisture at bay.

The TUFR2" keeps those blood vessels insulated in the coldest of conditions and the grippy moulded rubber toe cap laughs in the face of gravel and mud. We have developed a whole new arsenal in your war against the cold. SPATZ TUFR2 have been developed by an Olympic Champion, Professional Cyclists and the National Elite Gravel Champion. Engineered from the finest neoprene available these revolutionary off-road overshoes will transform your wet/cold riding experience.

Sizing: The "TUFR2" overshoes should feel tight when worn, but obviously not so tight that they will become uncomfortable. That said due to the nature of the reinforced materials we recommend 'sizing-up' on this model, particularly if you will use off-road specific shoes. The perfect size of "TUFR2" should be tight to get on but then comfortable in use.

too small, poorly executed

I wanted to love these, but both zippers have lost teeth after 3 uses, seams are starting to fail and they are a nightmare to get on over even slim road shoes, let alone gravel shoes, as they are marketed for. I can't imagine them lasting a week of standard use, let alone a season, and they should last many seasons for this price point. Huge miss from spatz for the months of waiting and nearly $200 cost.

Impossible to wear

Like Others stated before :they are almost Impossible to get on.

I have ordered size 45-47, my shoes ( normal shoes,no Winter shoes) are 44,5 so I was def in the right size.

It s almost Impossible to get them over the heel.

I managed somehow to get them on , used Them in ONE commute and some stitches became lose after a 20km Ride.
When I tried them on for my commute back, which was the second time using them, the Zipper came apart.

I sent them Back to my reseller.

Big disappointment

This is the only product from Spatzwear that I have ever been disappointed with ,having been a customer since they first produced their original shoe covers ,the pair i received suffered a few broken teeth on the rear zipper whilst trying to put on for the first time really can't understand why the middle section on the bottom can't be opened as this would make it so much easier to put on ,customer service was excellent as usual and I received a full refund after contacting them about the problem.

Disappointed

Bought these expecting a lot after good experiences with the road overshoes. Worn once and the stitching has come away quite significantly on both. Contacted support but have heard nothing back in two weeks. Disappointed with the quality, appreciate they'll take a beating but would have thought for 150 quid would be lasting longer than one ride. Customer support appears to be nonexistent. Lost some confidence in the brand as a result. Wouldn't recommend.

Hi Graeme,

I'm really sorry to hear this! The Tufr should definitely be holding together longer than stated, so it does sound like your pair are faulty.

Please send me an email on ops@spatzwear.com and I will happily send you a replacement pair.

Many thanks,
Ted
