Tested for months in the cold, wet Yorkshire Dales, Spatz Hotsokz have been engineered to keep you warm, regardless of the conditions.

Developed specifically for cycling, we have added targeted merino wool panels and a semi-compression composition. The perfect blend of warmth and wicking, woven into a beautifully comfortable sock.

Tuned panel thickness and yarn choice allow us to dial-in maximum warmth with minimum bulk. Hotsokz fit easily into the slimmest racing shoes and deliver a warmth that belies their thickness and weight.

Akin to our overshoes, the length of the Hotsokz insulates the calf and shin muscles and blood vessels, keeping your feet comfortable and warm no matter how far you ride. Focus on the riding, not the weather.


Developed to use in conjunction with our overshoes, Hotsokz offer a close fit and stay snugly in place for all day comfort.


Composition: 70% acrylic, 30% merino wool.



Please note: Merino wool is a natural fibre and may bobble a little after use, especially if machine washed. This is not a product fault, it is merely a trait of wool blends. Hotsokz are designed to last and last.

A great balance between bulk and warmth.

I have been wearing these on my commute for the last couple of weeks in temperatures ranging from -3 to 8 degrees in both wet and dry conditions and they have performed as I hoped.
They provide plenty of warmth without being thick and restrictive and the extra warmth around the calf is a welcome at 5am.
They provide a good level of compression and I’ve had no problems with them falling down

If I had to find a fault it would be that they’re a lot of sock to put on over a sweaty foot after 12 hours in work boots but that’s not a problem a lot of people will have.

Would definitely recommend.

Simply the best socks for UK winter riding. Warmth all the way up to the knee - which is exactly what you want when it’s wet and cold outside. Proper socks.

Comfort and warmth

These socks are well priced for what you get. Comfort is great with good give enabling them to fit round fat calves without cutting in. I have worn under Spatz pro overshoes and no problem with cold feet whatsoever!
Look nice as well of course.
